In my work as a coach I see many Designers who limit their impact in organisations by focusing too much on being a Designer. Design is a tool to create impact and not an end in itself. Designers, who usually are competent in many areas - product, business, facilitation, communication - can take multiple other roles that don't contain “Design/er” in the title, and expand its impact. While the world evolves we are still too attached to the “Design” title. Some people argue it limits where your professional career can go. But could we ever imagine stopping calling ourselves designers? And do we have to? Join this roundtable to talk to others who want to prioritise impact over titles.
Roundtables are slots dedicated to discussions with no more than 16 participants around a specific topic. It's a way to exchange with folks who have the same issues or are in the same stages of career, industry, etc. Each Hatch onsite participant gets the chance to only pick 1 Roundtable, so choose wisely!
Roundtable signups begin August 6th
