About this Workshop
In this workshop, you will learn different monetisation strategies in general and about the subscription model of "SumUp Invoices" in more detail. We will deep dive into different aspects of subscriptions such as pricing plans, free and paid features, paywalls, trials, cancellations, and more. Then, we split into small groups to design one experiment to IMPROVE monetisation in the future – this can be your own example or a fictional example. Participants share their results so that you can learn from each other. We finish with inspirational examples and Q&A.

For senior designers and early design leaders who want to deepen their understanding of monetization strategies, particularly subscription models. It’s ideal for those involved in product strategy, pricing decisions, or growth initiatives, as well as those looking to develop skills in experimentation and data-driven decision-making.
About the Facilitator
As a design leader with 18+ years of experience, I've cultivated expertise in both brand design and product design. I started my career in Amsterdam where I crafted brand identities for European brands and cultural institutions. Later, I took on roles at global brand consultancies where projects became more international, strategic, and holistic. In 2016, I pivoted to product design, working at IBM iX and Neugelb Studios before becoming a Lead Product Designer at SumUp. Here, I combine design leadership with hands-on contributions, emphasizing a data-driven approach to increase business impact. I've enriched my skill set through Growth Marketing courses and a Business Coach certification in 2022.
