About this Session
Iris proposes reframing the research relationship and go beyond the theory of ethical research. She'll share practical ways to shift to co-creation, ethical inclusion, and reciprocity even on fast-moving teams.
Rooted in design justice and co-design practices, this session offers real methods for building trust, reducing research debt, and making research more sustainable for teams and the people we study. Whether you're a designer or a researcher, you'll leave with tools to elevate your research practice.
Iris is a UX Research leader, specializing in AI ethics, design justice and inclusive research practices. She's the co-founder of THEFT, a queer, neurodivergent and Black-owned consultancy focused on responsible design and centering marginalized experiences. When she's not questioning the future of UX, she's reading way too many sci-fi books, watching too much B-reated horror, or exploring Barcelona with her pitbull Greg.
