About this Session
Today’s most impactful designers aren’t chasing trends—they’re dismantling silos and reshaping their job from the inside out. As production becomes commoditized real influence comes from navigating complexity and driving change where it actually matters. This keynote is a call to ditch the old playbook. Didier Hilhorst will take you on an atypical journey decades in the making from The Netherlands, by way of San Francisco, to now Paris.
Didier Hilhorst is a seasoned design professional with a diverse background. Born in the Netherlands and raised in Luxembourg, he initially pursued Economics, graduating from Erasmus University, Rotterdam. However, he transitioned into Design, driven by a passion for creativity and technology, which began in the mid-90s when he built his first (terrible) website.
After graduating from Interaction Design Institute Ivrea in Italy, Didier spent 15 years in San Francisco where he has held key roles such as Director of Product Design at Uber and lead designer at Flipboard. He is currently the VP of Design at Qonto, a fintech based in Paris. His career is marked by significant contributions to consumer Product Design and advisory roles in tech companies like Tinder, Trade Republic and Robinhood.
