Since February, Mews has radically restructured its R&D: 500+ designers, PMs, and engineers now work around personas instead of product sections.
The goal? Amplify end-to-end product ownership and deliver better user experiences.
The challenge? Clarifying ownership and staying aligned. As a service designer in Design Ops, Marina will bring insights how how the experience helped to to bridge gaps, create a unified vision, and guide teams through this transformation.
Marina Rico is currently working as a Senior Strategic Service Designer at Mews, shaping the future of hospitality technology. With a mixed background in design, innovation, and business, she has experience in both startups and large organizations, previously pioneering adidas HQ’s first Service Design team and spending over seven years at Designit’s Madrid and New York studios. Marina blends storytelling, illustration, and facilitation to drive user-centered experiences and organizational change: focused on making an impact where design meets strategy.
