About this Session
Moving from Serbia to Berlin turned Aleksandra’s entire mental model upside down. The things she learned growing up (like staying quiet if you’re junior, never giving feedback to someone above you, not taking up space) didn’t apply anymore. In fact, they started to hold her back.
This roundtable explores what it really means to work in a multicultural environment — not just in theory, but through real, lived experience. How do our backgrounds shape how we communicate, give feedback, ask for help, or assert ourselves? What happens when those unwritten rules collide? And how do we grow without losing ourselves along the way?
Aleksandra Lazović is a product designer who doesn’t just stick to the brief—she loves going the extra mile to understand the "why" behind it all and make a real impact in business. Based in Berlin and currently designing at N26 bank, she specializes in 0→1 products and has spent the past three years shaping the future of investing at N26. From launching Crypto trading, to building Investment plans, and Ready-made funds, she’s been at the heart of some of the company’s most strategic bets. With a Bachelor’s in Engineering and Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Aleksandra brings a sharp mind for business and numbers to the table. She’s especially passionate about elevating the role of design within teams and helping others do the same. When she’s not sketching out the next big idea, you’ll probably find her hanging out with her (a bit anxious) dog Bucko, jamming on drums with her friends in a band, or traveling to some nice places.
