Thanks for your interest in volunteering at Hatch Conference! We’re looking for 17 people to join us this year. Whilst there is no seniority requirement, we’d like to prioritise people with design background (or studying design). Having previous event volunteering experience would be a bonus.

Once you submit the form, we’ll contact you with an answer and an agreement to sign, and you’ll be set. Please know that to volunteer you are required to be in Berlin from September 10th 8:00 AM until September 12th 9:00 PM. Do not apply if this conflicts with your schedule.
Volunteering Options
As the conference takes place over 3 days, and each day has different requirements, we’ve created 5 different modules that you can choose from. You’ll be able to select 1st and 2nd preference, and we’ll make arrangements balancing your availability and our requirements.
Which types of tasks will you do?
Your tasks will be set beforehand per the module descriptions above, and some might be assigned on site. In general, volunteers on duty will take care of:
Welcoming attendees and checking them in
Giving information to attendees or speakers
Guiding speakers / sponsors around the venue
Setting up indoor and outdoor areas
Clear out areas that are obstructed in any way during the event
Alerting the team if something is going wrong
Helping out building up / taking down parts of the set
etc
We will have proper security, cleaning and wardrobe staff, so you won’t be doing those specific tasks.
Benefits
Besides being able to enjoy partially or totally the conference on the 12th as an attendee, we’ll cover all your meals all days while you are on location, as well as drinks. Be aware we are not covering travel costs or accommodation.
You will also be able to access all recordings for the conference, get your own gift bag and a special swag commemorating the event and a volunteering certificate will be emailed to you after the event is done.
