A Staff Product Designer at QuillBot, based in Amsterdam, where he works at the intersection of language, design, and technology. His career began in code before gradually shifting toward design craft, a journey that took him from co-founding Bliss, a digital agency in Manchester, to serving as its Creative Director. Along the way he earned a degree in English Language and Literature and an MA in Cultural Analysis.

Over more than a decade he has worked with everyone from early-stage startups to global brands including Umbro, Schwarzkopf, Jaguar Land Rover, and AstraZeneca. In 2020 he joined WeTransfer to design for the everyday challenges millions of people face when sending and receiving files, before joining QuillBot in early 2025 to help shape the future of writing.

Nathan holds a clear conviction about what design actually is: not pixel-pushing, but identifying patterns, creating new relationships between ideas, and bridging the gaps between humans and technology. That responsibility, to create software that helps people achieve more than they thought possible, remains constant regardless of how the tools evolve.

He is a confident presenter and facilitator within organisations, has guest lectured at ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem, and is actively looking to expand his presence at public events.
