Super IC Day
Description
AI is moving from a tool you prompt to a set of adaptive systems that operate inside workflows. As agentic patterns mature, the Super IC will be defined less by producing artifacts and more by shaping how work happens: what gets delegated, what gets verified, how quality is measured, and how human judgment stays in control.
You'll explore how to design for adaptive behavior, where experiences change based on context and model output, and how to place boundaries so systems stay legible and trustworthy. You'll work through delegation design, deciding what can be handed to agents and what must stay human led, and how to build handoffs that let humans intervene with minimal friction.
The session also covers how to encode design expertise into reusable structures like constraints, decision rules, and critique heuristics that steer AI behavior toward quality. Connect design intent to evaluation signals and how to operate across design, product, and engineering when building AI enabled systems.
Who is it for?
Senior IC designers and researchers working on AI enabled products or workflows. Designers moving toward design engineering and more technical contribution. Design leads who still contribute hands on and want a sharper model for what changes. Also relevant for designers in enterprise contexts where accountability, privacy, and reliability are central.
