Nicole Michaelis is a Content Designer turned Design Director based in Stockholm, Sweden, with over a decade of experience shaping content and product experiences for global tech companies. She has worked with teams at Spotify, Wolt, Miro, Hyper Island, SAS, iZettle, and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, helping them connect strategy, UX writing, and content design across complex digital products.

Currently, Nicole leads design at Pleo, where she’s building and scaling a content-forward design practice and growing a multidisciplinary team. Prior to Pleo, she led content design at Wolt/DoorDash and worked as a Senior UX Writer at Spotify, including on the design systems team and creator tools like Soundtrap Capture.

Outside of her day-to-day leadership work, Nicole hosts the Content Rookie podcast, where she explores content design, UX writing, and digital product careers with practitioners from around the world.
